Coach Blanchard was born in West Jordan, where he attended West Jordan High School and played Varsity Basketball for three years and was named an All-State player his Junior and Senior year. After high school he received a basketball scholarship to Saint Martin’s College in Lacey, Washington. After a year of school he transferred back home to Salt Lake Community College, after finishing at SLCC he went to Weber State University where he majored in Physical Education and Health Promotions.
Coach Blanchard has been married for 14 years to his high school sweet heart Casi, they have three sons, Stockton (11), Aden (9), Nash (5) and one daughter Navy (5). He started his coaching career at West Jordan High School where he coached for five years before going to Mountain View High School to coach the girls program. In his three years coaching the girls team he accrued a 55-16 record with a State Championship in 2009, and a Region Title in 2011 going a perfect 12-0. He then had the opportunity the next year to take over the boys basketball position and lead them to a state tournament appearance.
Coach Blanchard enters this season having broke Coach Bosco's 62 all-time wins as a Head Coach in Copper Hills High School history last year and now looks to win his 100th game this season as the Head Coach at CHHS with only having to win four games to break that mark. He is excited to build on his 97-49 career record as the Head Coach at CHHS, with a talented group of student/athletes this season.
Coach Blanchard is excited to be coaching at Copper Hills High School for the past seven years and looks forward to building off of three straight years of being in the Final Four, back to back Region III Championships and a runner-up in the State Championship in 2016.
